  <description>This is a segment from larger project.  Erik Amlee recorded these tapes while he lived in Houston from 1988-91.  He recorded lots of crazy television on about a dozen tapes.  I took two tapes at a time and began combining them, mixing the audio independet of the video.  This segment gets real metaphysical and it is juxtaposed with a subliminal self help infomercial.  (the whole houston tapes are avilable on the internet archive)</description>
